First Teams Weekend Kicks Off Today

To make your first day with the Bear Valley Team as smooth as possible, plan ahead and arrive extra early. This will give you time to handle any unforeseen delays or issues and ensure a great start to the season.

Gear Checklist

Before you leave, double-check your athlete’s equipment to make sure everything is ready:

  • Boots: Ensure they fit properly.

  • Bindings: Adjust for new boots and set for changes in skill level or weight.

  • Helmet: Ensure a snug and secure fit.

  • Gloves or Mittens: Check that they fit and are warm enough.

  • Goggles and Sunglasses: Bring both to be prepared for varying light conditions.

  • Sunscreen: Don’t forget to pack it for sun protection at high altitudes.

Pre-Arrival Preparations

  • Check BYGA to confirm your athlete’s team assignment.

  • Monitor the weather and allow extra travel time if storms or slow road conditions are expected.

On Arrival

Plan to arrive early to allow enough time to:

  • Get your athlete dressed and ready to go.
